Seattleites love pets – the city is home to more dogs and cats than children. On Sept. 30, we’ll have the opportunity to celebrate and bless the animals that are dear to us, serving as servants and friends.
Bring your dog, cat, parrot, iguana, llama, you name it — on leash or in a carrier — to the Blessing of the Animals! It all happens at the 9:30 am and 11 am services at First United Methodist Church, 180 Denny Way (across from Pacific Science Center).
“We will welcome to our sanctuary the animals with whom we share our lives,” said Pastor Sandy Brown. “We’ll give thanks for their unique contributions and will ask God’s blessing on them and all animals.”
