How Safe Do You Feel in Your Hood – City of Seattle Wants To Know

Posted on March 23, 2011

The City of Seattle is asking residents to help the police and city officials “provide effective and responsive police services” by participating in a quick survey.

The survey, which will take about 15 minutes to complete, will help the police department determine which neighborhoods need more police presence. The survey is very straight forward, multiple choice with additional write in responses.

Some sample questions include:

  • “What are the most serious crime problems in your neighborhood?”
  • “In terms of regular police patrols, would you say that your neighborhood gets more than it needs, about the right amount, or not enough?”
  • How safe do you feel walking alone in your neighborhood after dark?

The survey also asks your individual opinion on police brutality, reactions and policy and the obligatory classification questions.

If you have some time, let the city know your opinion!

The survey can be found here:

What to do in Belltown on a sunny Seattle day??

Posted on March 23, 2011
  • Go sit on the beach, have an afternoon picnic,  or take a walk outside at the OSP.
  • People-watch while sitting outside sippin on something delish at Macrina Bakery, Bang Bang Cafe, Belltown Pub.
  • Margaritas on Mama’s outdoor patio.
  • The Market, duh. Grab something, sit on a curb, soak it in. Don’t forget to pick up some spring flowers for your pad.
  • BBQ. Where better to get  some sun, take in the view and bbq than on the rooftop deck  of your building.
  • Explore the Belltown Pea Patch.
  • Splash around in the water globe at the Needle. Take your kiddos. Pretend like you’re a kiddo.

This is all I can think of right now. Any other ideas?? Yay Spring.
